Age no barrier to exercise with Wii on hand
Jared Sims is bridging the generation gap and getting into the swing of it.
Jared approached Volunteering Hawkes Bay and was referred to Age Concern to introduce Wii Sport. Members enjoy interacting with games of golf, tennis, baseball and boxing. Jared says that he enjoyed interacting with the older generation, because they have 'heaps of experience'.Manager Sarah Potter says Age Concern was looking for something more intergenerational to break down misconceptions about older people. With the baby boomers coming through, there will be a greater focus on technology.
